Exciting News: I Have a New Column with Ideal Home’s Open House

I’ve been bursting to share this… I’ve officially joined Ideal Home’s Open House as one of their columnists! You can find all of my articles here, and my very first piece is already live.

What is Open House?

For those who don’t know, Open House is such a brilliant collective. As part of a panel of industry experts I will, along with others, opens the door to fresh perspectives on what makes a home yours, with inspiration rooted in real-life experience. It’s a space where new voices share everything from the latest colour trends to clever rental hacks and sustainability secrets. I’m so excited to be part of it!

Why I’ll Never Have a “Finished” Home

My debut column is called “My house will never be finished, and neither will yours”, and it really sums up how I feel about home design. There’s this idea floating around that as a designer, your home should always be perfectly styled, immaculate, and… finished. But the truth? Mine isn’t. And honestly, I don’t want it to be.

Homes That Grow With Us

For me, a home is always evolving — just like the people who live in it. Styles change, life happens, kids grow up, priorities shift… and that’s exactly what makes our homes interesting. They tell a story that’s never really done.

I’ll be sharing more columns over the coming weeks, and I’d love for you to join me on this journey. Expect plenty of honest thoughts, experiments, and little insights from my own life as I continue refining my home (and probably messing it up a bit along the way too!).
